Let Android compare the package
Android may install a compatible package over the existing app. A different signature or package identity can stop the update.
Confirm the app opens

Do not assume “latest version”
A download date, file response or updated webpage does not prove that a package is the newest release. This page intentionally avoids a version label because no public version number has been confirmed for publication.
